The fashion world faces big changes right now. People want clothes that last, not ones that fade with trends. They pick skill over quick factory runs. They choose care over waste. More buyers look for items that feel real, last long, and fit many outfits. This shift gives new life to simple styles. Clean shapes and soft colors matter, but so do freedom, ease, and ties to where clothes come from. SODE fits right into this change. This Swiss brand draws from Japan’s clean look. Carla Lehmann started it. She blends lasting style, simple wear, and green methods. Most pieces fit one size. They flow with loose shapes. Wearers can layer them, move in them, and make them their own. Each set of clothes shows balance. Simple yet smart. Made to endure. Built for daily life.

Designed for Comfort, Crafted with Purpose

At the heart of SODE lies an appreciation for comfort and natural elegance. Each garment is designed with minimal seams and reduced detailing, prioritizing form, flow, and wearability. The wide, airy silhouettes make every piece adaptable and easy to combine, resulting in a personal, layered look that feels as good as it appears. “Noble and easy to wear” is not just a tagline—it’s a design philosophy.

Every piece is produced in Switzerland in small, limited runs of 10 to 20 items, ensuring exclusivity and care in craftsmanship. Sewing takes place at IDM in Thun—Carla’s hometown—and at Punto 301 in Ticino, a company proudly led by three women. The knitwear is produced in Huttwil using certified yarns, emphasizing both quality and local expertise. This attention to detail and proximity to production are what make SODE authentically Swiss and sustainably modern.

A Designer’s Journey Rooted in Place and Purpose

For Carla Lehmann, fashion has always been a dialogue between design, ethics, and emotion. After completing her studies as a Fashion Assistant and a certified Fashion Designer at the Swiss Textile College in Zurich, she spent ten years working in the textile industry as a designer and product manager. In 2019, she launched her first independent collection under the SODE label—a culmination of her experience, vision, and values.

Carla carefully selects materials for each garment, often using high-quality surplus fabrics from major designers. When new fabrics are sourced, she prioritizes environmentally responsible production and exclusively uses natural fibers such as organic cotton, hemp, linen, wool, and Tencel—all biodegradable. The locally knitted linen pieces, made from flax grown in the Emmental, highlight her dedication to local sourcing and short transport routes. Through SODE, Carla Lehmann has created more than a brand—she’s crafted a philosophy of simplicity, sustainability, and mindful beauty that feels both modern and deeply rooted in Swiss tradition.
