The global activewear industry has grown rapidly over the past decade, evolving from basic gym clothing into a symbol of self-expression, confidence, and lifestyle. Consumers are seeking more than performance-focused garments; they want comfort, inclusivity, and designs that reflect their individuality. Amid this dynamic shift, brands that emphasize body positivity, sustainable production, and community engagement are gaining momentum. One such brand is Amari Wear, a Swiss start-up founded by two passionate former students. Focused on creating high-grade sportswear, Amari Wear prioritizes both comfort and self-love, proving that what you wear deeply affects how you feel.

A Journey Born from Passion and Real Struggles
Amari Wear began in November 2020 with a simple motivation. During the pandemic, Alejandra struggled to find gym clothes that fit properly, were not see-through, and represented diverse body types. This challenge sparked the creation of a brand dedicated to comfort, inclusivity, and self-confidence.
With Alessandro’s entrepreneurial drive and Alejandra’s passion for body positivity, they turned a bedroom project into a meaningful business. Their vision was clear from the start: create Swiss activewear that celebrates every body while remaining affordable and stylish for all.

Growth, Community, and Milestones
Winter 2022 marked a turning point as Amari Wear gained recognition and a loyal community of supporters. Customers resonated with the brand’s message of self-love, empowerment, and confidence, validating their mission.
In 2024, the first pop-up store at the Mall of Switzerland in Ebikon showcased their commitment to connecting directly with customers. A second pop-up at Zurich Mainstation later that year expanded their reach, making self-love and body positivity accessible to even more women across Switzerland.

Sustainability, Ethical Production, and Quality Craftsmanship
Amari Wear is committed to ethical production and sustainability, balancing affordability with responsibility. A long-term collaboration with their manufacturing partner in Guangzhou, China ensures every garment is crafted with care and precision.
Visiting the factory allowed the founders to witness the full production process from fabric cutting to logo printing. This experience strengthened their commitment to creating high-quality leggings, tights, and sports bras while fostering an ethical and transparent work environment.
