Back in 2008, time spent in California introduced me to granola in its most vibrant, organic form. Returning to Switzerland, the absence was loud. Granola was almost nowhere to be found, and what was missing on shelves turned into something I began creating in my own kitchen. What started as a personal solution soon became a quiet gift I shared with others.

The response was always the same. Surprise, delight, and the question of where this came from. That reaction planted a seed. The Tiny Factory officially came to life in 2016, but its soul had already been forming for years. Almost a decade later, it still feels surreal to see how far that first small batch has traveled.

Working With Hands, Time, And Quiet Discipline.

For many years, almost everything rested on my shoulders. Production, packing, distribution, and marketing were all parts of my everyday rhythm until about a year ago. The workload was intense, but it built a deep understanding of every inch of the process. The company grew slowly, and every step taught patience and resilience.

Today, production happens three times a week with a small team of two. Mornings begin at 8:30 with mixing, tray preparation, baking, cooling, and careful packing. The oven and one cutting machine offer support, but nearly everything else is done by hand. Distribution follows four days a week by bicycle, post, or sometimes by me. Nothing stays stored for more than two days, so freshness is not a promise but a daily discipline.

Simplicity, Quality, And A Clear Future.

The focus has always stayed narrow and intentional. Granola and roasted nuts are the heart of the company, and there is no rush to expand beyond that. Different blends take shape through chocolate, sour cherry, herbs, and more, while ceramic collaborations happen outside production. Keeping the range small allows quality to stay sharp.

Thirty percent nuts define the texture and nourishment of every batch, setting it apart from many options on the market. We work closely with suppliers who provide certified organic and fair trade ingredients. Sustainability guides daily decisions, even when local packaging options remain a challenge.
